The original ring was a piece from the 1930’s in the Art Deco style, with two emeralds and diamonds and white gold. It is a beautiful heirloom piece, and the intention was to maintain the exact style but to create two single rings for two sisters.
The technical requirements are quite specific and challenging to reproduce this style. The structure must be thicker than a usual construction to permit the deep stone setting style, typical of this period.
This kind of stone setting creates little balls on the surface around the diamonds, tricking the eye to see a full surface of diamonds when in fact it is the shiny gold dots reflecting the light.
